Bexec 12.5 for Windows, can't send notifications

BExec 12.5 on Windows 2000.

I can't send any notifications at all, even test notifications.  The articles and forum posts I've read solve problems were the test notification is successful.  I have deleted all entries under "Configure recipients" and deleted the config under "Configure email and pagers" and recreated it, and nothing sends.  I can telnet to my smtp server on port 25.  It doesn't require authentication.  I've checked the email server logs (Exchange 2003) and it doesn't show an email from my BExec server to the recipient.  I have also checked the message queue and it is empty.

I'm at a loss here, it appears that BExec is simply not creating the email at all.

Do you need the BE server to be added as a relay host in exchange?

Ah, problem solved.  Turns out the Exchange server was logging "relay denied" messages to the event log, not the SMTP log.  We had to add the server to the relayed IP list.

Very keen, teiva-boy :)
