Hello, when i browse server for restauration job or to create a new job, the browsing process is very slow : more than 20 minutes.

The server which I try to browse is the local server, where BE is installed.

After the wait time I can do all the task and the backup is OK.

I am on Windows 2008 R2 SP1

Symantec BE verson : 14.1 Rev 1786

Is your folder structre quite deep? If so, it could be BE is trawling through them all to get where you want to get too.

Also make sure that there are no AV scans of the BE services on that server, and that port 10000 is open on any firewalls that are running.

Thanks!

What updates are applied to BE ?

Does this server (the one which you are trying to browse) contain an EFI partition ?

...local user accounts aren't recommended for BE. If this is the only server being backed up without an application like SQL and Exchange then it should be fine. Local admin accounts don't have access to Exchange etc.

Thanks!

Yes this server only backup a netapp san via NDMP protocol.

I think this is the probleme, we have a very big AD, and BE try to search on IT, whereas we don't ask for that.

And i don't find any configuration for disable that !

Thanks.
