CPS, how to back up in regular job

I have backup exec 10d running with CPS. We have a file server that has the CPS agent. In the past, my backups would utilize the backup server agent on the file server and performs its weekyl full and daily differntial.

Now that I have CPS, wouldn't it make sense to discontinue that, and just backup the data on the local CPS folder? I was going through the menus on the resource selections and noticed CPS showing up on the media server, along with 3 options; snapshots, databases and protected resources. And intside snapshots, there are LOTS of folders.

What is the best option? What do I need to backup on the CPS local server so I don't need to backup the remote server over the network seeing how the data is already local.

thanks!!!

Hello,

You could back this up using Backup Exec.

Please elaborate us on how is the configration as in how many servers are you using and how many act as business servers and how many as protection servers.
