CPS showing massively wrong file size...

I have Backup exec 12.5 running with CPS on a windows 2008x64 server.
The CPS feature is working well except this morning I checked my available disk space. Amazingly I found that I was lacking space over the course of minutes.
I drilled down through the folders and found a 258GB microsoft excel file.

I checked the file at the original location and it is less than 50kb.

How could a 50kb file be registering in CPS as 258 gigs?!

Any ideas?

Now the server is telling me it has erors and needs chkdsk run. I ran chkdsk and it's still giving me trouble. Takes 3 minutes to expand the resource tree to test restore a file.

Well I actually managed to figure this one out. I uninstalled SEP11 and everything started working well again. Almost like I turned on the turbo mode.

My tape job last night ran quickly and CPS is running at a great clip. Can't complain now!

I have had this happen again but with 2 different files this time. Both files should be under 2mb but are showing up on my CPS server as over 200 gigs a piece.

Anyone ever have this happen?
