I am archiving data from old hard drives. Each of them has a pagefile.sys that I have been unable to back up. I removed the exclusions from the Windows Backup on both the source and target machines, but no matter what I do I cannot get these files to back up. Any ideas? I am using BE 9.1
Excuse for asking but I may not understand your question...why would you want to backup the pagefile.sys anyway? You should exclude it from your selection list. Please explain. Thanks.
That is true...you should exclude that file. If you're running any antivirus, kill it before you run the backup, the reason is that some antivirus programs lock that file up. Do you have AOFO installed on your system?
Pagefile.sys are the cache files. They are not suppose to be backed up. Infact they are excluded globally. In case your case if they are not already excluded, please exclude them and then try to perform backups.
