Okay, so RALUS isn't working for me. I've tried every thing I know to get it to work. So, I installed samba and proceeded to go down the route I normally use when Veritas didn't seem to add the proper support required to support my OS. I got a nastly surprise! Backup Exec 11d will not allow me to backup my shares that I've presented to the server via Samba. I created a user defined selection, I selected C$ (A share on my opensuse system that I've set the path to /) When I run a job using that selection, it gave the normal errors I'm accustomed to in 10d, but didn't back up any data! I have the option to backup user defined shares selected. What's going on here?
