Hello,
I am installing the remote agent for BE 2014 on several Win7 computers. The BE server is a Win2008Standard SP2. All of the installs have gone off without a hitch except for one computer. BE gives the following error each time I attempt to load the agent: "Error connecting to the remote computer. Ensure that the computer is available, has WMI enabled, and is not blocked by a firewall. 8".
I have turned off the firewall, I have ensured WMI is enabled (as far as I can tell), and the Win7 machine is connected to the network, and the domain, and I can ping the server and the server can ping the computer.
What am I missing? I just don't know what else to check.
Any help would be great!
-CG.

Thanks - it worked for me as well to install the software locally however i would like to know what is the solution for that?
As I need to update the Agents and the only way to do it is through BackupExec server?
