I have 2003 R2 as the BE server. I have a 2003 exchange on a 2003 windows server. All patched up. I have licensing for normal agent, exchange agent and SQL agent installed. My BE 2003 crashed and I had to reinstall windows on it. Since then, I can't re-install the exchange agent remotely.
The installation goes through, but seems like it wont permit neither advanced open file agent and no trace whatsoever of the exchange agent installation.
Also, I tried to install the last service pack for BE, it won't let me. The installation stops the sqlexpress instace to make updates of the actual databases, but he gives me an erreor stating that the instance "Bckpexec" is not existent ... but it is, although the installer stopped the service.
