Can you run a Differential backup on the CPS Server

When I try and run a differential backup on our CPS Server it does a full backup. I have tried several different methods, I am now wondering if anyone else has this issue and how they may have resolved it.

What is the backup method that you are using for the full backup - using Archive bit or modified time?

If you have created a full backup-using archive bit and a differential using modified time then run a differential using arcive bit and then verify.
