Cannot Backup CIFS Share From VNXe

I'm trying to change an NDMP backup to a file share backup in BExec 2015.

I've disable NDMP on the VNXe but when I do so I get the following error:

The server was unable to complete the requested operation.

Failed to retrieve root level item from Agent. Possible cause: Access is denied.

I'm using my domain admin account which is set as Admin/Backup Operators in the CIFs share user groups.

Any suggestions?

If the device can be added to the domain, do so.  Otherwise, add the domain admin account that you are using as a local admin of the device with full read/write access to the entire volume.

Did you trial the NDMP Option and then switch back to CIFS?

if you did you have to

1) Remove the VNXe record/entry from the Storage section of the BE Admin Console

2) Remove the VNXe object from the servers list in the Backup and Restore Section of the BE admin console

3) Create a new record for the VNXe in the Backup and Restore Section

This is because when you first add the VNXe into the storage area for the NDMP option it creates a record in the Servers list for Backup and Restore as well and this record believes it is NDMP based even after you delete the storage reference

I was able to get it to connect, but now I get the following:

The Backup Exec server was unable to connect to remote machine forks-data using subnet 10.83.X.0/24 on network interface Local Area Connection 4.
