After Changing the IP address of a server. When logging into the Backup Exec Interface a window is displayed to enter the user credentials. These are entered but the Window returns. At the bottom there is a note BACKUP EXEC SERVICES on <SERVER>: STOPPED.
On trying to start the service BACKUP EXEC SERVER, it does not start. The error recieved is Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
Out of the 5 services : -
Backup Exec Agent Browser- STARTED
Backup Exec Device & Media Service - CANNOT START - Error 0xe0008144: 0xe0008144
Backup Exec Job Engine - CANNOT START - Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows - STARTED
Backup Exec Server - Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
I have restarted the server on numerous occasions. - STILL NO JOY.
I also tried to run a repair of the software from ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. This errors with "Data source name not found and no default driver specified."
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!
