Hi,
Please help, I am having challenges deploying a backup exec agent to a VM. I get the error attached.

Three suggestions to try as follows:
1. As per the Admin guide (select from here: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100040087) please try manually installing the agent on the VM itself rather than pushing the agent out from the Backup Exec Media Server (the BEMS) - basically copy the
C:\Program Files\Backup Exec\Agents\RAWS32 or RAWSX64 directory to the VM and double-click Setup.exe.
2. Double check that the Backup Exec Service Account (BESA) has the required permissions on the remote server - again refer to the Admin Guide - for example here:

3. In a similar case this TN was referred to:
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100040776 - Remote Agent for Windows cannot be updated on Windows Server 2012 R2
Although your specific error isn't mentioned on the TN, would still recommend investigating this...

Any firewall between the backup exec server and client computer?
or host based firewall on client computer that blocking the traffic from Backup exec server?
