Cannot open Tape Library LT20

Hello everybody,

I have BE 2010 R2 installed and a Fujutsu ETERNUS LT20 Tape Library.

As far as I understand BE, I have to run a unlock job to get the magazines

from the library.

Wenn I perform a Unlock job with BE, the job ends succesfull but

the Library keeps beeing locked.

Any ideas?

Unlocking your autoloader from Backup Exec doesn't physically unlock the autoloader. It just release the hold it has over your hardware.

You can verify it by unlocking a magazien while BE is open and you will get a "locked by host system" message on the library.

YOu have to use unlock on the library to get it unlocked.
