Cannot re-add server 2003

Hello,

I have a traget machine that was listed and running backups within Backup Exec 2012. The target machine was removed from the sesrver list and I cannot re-add it so that I can restore some backuped data. 

any help would be great.

Hi,  is the remote agent installed on this server?  Try to install it with a Local (manual) installation http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH179142  also follow the steps in the link http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH183038   to establish an SSL trust

Afterwards you should be able to backup and restore to it.

What error do you receive when you try to readd it ?

And are you readding the server resource via IP or FQDN ?

Lastly, recataloging the storage media (where the backup sets are present) should also automatically readd the server back to the Backup & Resource tab.
