Cannot see individual mailboxes

I can't see individual mailboxes when i go into the storage group. I am able to select the mailbox store or public folder store but can't drill down further.

Because i can't do this i cant restore individual mailboxes.

In backup exec 12 is it possible to do this and if so what do i need to do?

I am running Backup Exec 12 on a media server. I have the Exchange agent installed and I have pushed out the remote agent to the Exchange server. Its Exchange 2003.

hi,

please check the following rights on System logon account used for backups/restore:

1. user has a mailbox created on Exchange server.

2. user has Exchange admin rights on Exchange.

3. user is a member of Domain Admins.

4. user is not hidden from Global Access List.

5. The first 5 characters of the user are not similar to any other user in the domain.

If they fail, you may have to fulfill all these conditions and take a backup again.

If these conditions are satisfied, please create a temporariy B2D on the local drive.

Make sure you have enough space on that drive (equivalent to the information store).

Then, run a duplicate backup job from tape to B2D.

Try to restore from the "IMG folder" media created on the B2D. You should be able to see individual items.
