Cant backup to HP library

Hi all

We have an HP DL380 Storageserver with MSA20 drive shelf and a HP Ultrium 960 Autoloader.

We run Backup Exec 10 rev 5520 with SP2

While i can Inventory and Erase and do general unloading and loading chores on all 8 slots, i cannot perform a backup, it just keeps coming back with a Hardware I/O error, Event ID in the Event Viewer : 57665.

It usually reaches 642,422 on the byte counter and then does the above error

The Autoloader has never worked, but getting to the point where backups wont fit on other solutions we have.

Any ideas?

Oh and we dont have the Library Expansion agent, as I was under the impression that one drive autoloaders were covered in the standard BE 10, or am I wrong and this is the problem!

Hello,

Can you tell us what is the exact error mentioned in the job log ??

Have you checked if the drive is compatible with BE v10.0 5520 ?

Are there any event errors like 7,9,11,15 in system event log ?
