Capacity Edition Licensing

A customer wants to purchase only one Backup Exec Capacity Edition 6 to 15 TB license, but the dealer has told him the minimum quantity is two licenses due to "Symantec Rules".

I would like to confirm this information.

You should contact the Symantec Licencing department and check with them

I do not see the need for minimum of 2 in Backup Exec 15 - Licensing Guide .

As a reseller, you can take this up with your local Symantec office as well as Customer Care.

I had to purchase four last year because it was by 1TB increments. The rules change constantly, you should speak directly with a Symantec representitive.
