Changing "Backup to Disk" Properties

Is there anyway to change the default path for the "Backup to Disk" device folders? I have looked at all the available property tabs and none seem to have the option to change it. The path property is greyed out. Thank You in advance. Jim

Hi Jim,

The default location of the Backup-to-Disk folder is "C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\bkupfldr". To see the location of current Backup-to-Disk (B2D), select and right click the B2D folder and go to the properties. You can specify other location for the B2D folder as well as define the default path while creating it.

If you want to move the current B2D folder to some other location then, create a new B2D folder on the disk having sufficient free disk space. Copy only .bkf file(s) form current B2D folder to new B2D folder. After copying the .bkf file(s), perform the "Inventory" of new B2D folder. You can do this by selecting and right clicking the new B2D folder and select inventory. After inventory is over perform the "catalog". You can do this by right clicking the media label on the right hand pane of B2D folder. After this process is successful, you can delete the original B2D folder.
We hope this will help.
