Compatibility of BE 12.5 with ESXi 5.1 and VCB

Whilst we find this works intermittently, I wanted clarification on if this is a suppported configuration.

Backup Exec 12.5

ESXi 5.1 Update 1

VMWare Consolidated Backup

It looks like it isnt, but if it hasnt what has it been replaced by?

ESX 5.1 is not supported. You need at least BE 2010 R3 SP3/4
