We are running Backup Exec for Windows Servers version 10.0 and need to buy an additional Windows Remote Agent License....I see they are only selling version 10d....will this newer agent work with the older software???

Hello,

The newer agent can cause problems with the older software. It is recommended to have both the remote servers and the backup exec media server in the same version.

You could thus upgrade the media server to backup exec 10d which is a free upgrade from 10.0. You can then use the 10d agents. Refer to the following link where you will find the files for upgrade to 10d. Just run the upgrade above the curent installation:
