Configure Storage, Only Single file?

We upgraded from Backup Exec 12.5 to 2012. Before we could create multiple storage devices and have separate jobs point to each location. With the limited amount of space on our array we could archive individual backup files off that array. Now with 2012 it's just one big file. Is there a way to configure it like before?

No. For BE 2012, you are restricted to one disk storage per volume By archive, I hope that you are not copying the disk media files because you are not supposed to do this. See this document http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH176061 You should always duplicate your backup sets
