Continuous data protection

I have installed backup exec 2010 on a new server to have online backup.and also i have another server but old one which have backup exec 12 for windows server installed on it.what I want is to configure data continuous protection on the new server.Do i need to have another server to be business server or no i can have one server which has both roles business and protection.knowing that the data are found on SAN.

Hi,

Nope, you would need enough storage. It is a licensed option that is invoked on the media server you want to run CDP on.

Check up in the Admin Guide on how to set it up...
