Hi,
I'm using Backup Exec 2012 trail version to make some tests to prepare a presentation for backup solution in a company that I work in as a sys admin,
I installed BE on virtual machine (Hyper-V) and it works fine.
I did full, incremental backup for physical Server 2008R2 without any problems but when the convert backup to virtual job start as a Hyper-V backup (VHD) I got an error message
-- The job failed with the following error: The virtual machine cannot be created because Hyper-V role is not installed on the destination Hyper-V host.
I wish to complete my presentation ASAP
Thanx

Hi,
I guess you may be missing the requirements for P2V conversion. Check this article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO74212

I have all requirements
Windows Server 2008 R2.
I installed the agent for windows on my physical server that i install Hyper-V on it (Hyper-V host) from Administration consol >>> Installation and Licensing >> Install Agent Backup Exec Servers or Other Servers.
all disks basic and already less than 2 TB.
but is there a special agent for Hyper-V host ?
if yes .. please i need step by step installation guide.
Also please note : I'm using BE 2012 trail version.
Thanks,

Hello El,
There is no special agent for the HyperV host. You just need to install the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows.
Thanks,
