Convert to VM - Failed to authenticate with the targe server

Hello

I am trying to backup Windows Server 2008 R2 server and convert to a HyperV virtual machine. Backup process is completing successfully, but when it starts the virtual machine conversion process it failed with the below error.

Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000a450 - Failed to authenticate with the target server required for creating a standby copy. Verify that you are using the correct credentials to access the target server. Final error category: Resource Errors

I have refered http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH187951 and set the all backup exec service account password and restarted the server. But still I am facing to the same issue.

...make sure that the BE Service Account has rights to Hyper-V as per the TN below:

Is a logon account set as the default system account under Backup Exec Settings ? And if yes, does it use the format domain\user ?

When you do the backup, is the SDR light on?

Try to add permissions for system Logon Account to the Hyper-V server to allow Backup Exec Server connect to Hyper-v.
