Convert to Virtual without SDR

Hi,

I run Backup Exec 2012 SP3 and need to restore a server to a virtual machine.

I have a file level backup and SDR is NOT available as there was a directory excluded from the backup.

Now I have the problem, that SDR is needed to restore the server using the option "Convert to Virtual".

This circumstance is a little bit hard to understand for me, as the directory exclusion is wanted and in case of a restore those data are not needed!

Is there any way to restore a file level backup without SDR to a virtual machine?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Best regards, Werner

No.  The SDR light must be on when the backup is taken.  This is to prevent the accidental exclusion of important directories, like C:\Windows.
