 Backup Exec does not appear to be running on MH-YNB-HITS

Could not connect to net.tcp://mh-ynb-hits:50104/BEMservice/serverdata. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:02.0002000. TCP error code 10061: no connection could be made because the target machine is actively refused it 172.16.96.50: 50104.

 

Please post the solution will be appreciated.

1) Check all the BE services are started correctly.

2) Disable any software firewalls

3) Disable any security policies that might deny access to services via networking protocols

i could not start BE services

first of all service error

BAckup Exec server service on local computer started and then stoped. some services stoped automaticaly if they are not in use by other service or programs.

...is the account being used for the BESA a member of the domain, and of the Domain Admins group at a bare minimum? Have you checked to make sure it isn't locked out? And to add to what Colin mentioned above, check and make sure that any antivirus running on that server isn't perhaps blocking the BE services too...
