Creating Backup to Disk Folder Fails

Greg_Browning
Not applicable
Currently we have a NAS box located on the network. We setup a share on the BackupExec 10d server for "B:" and gave all the necessary permissions for the backupexec account ot reach the share. From the box logged in as the user, we can access the share just fine.

When setting up the backup to disk folder and pointing to the share that mapped as B: we get the following error: "The system cannot find the path specified."

Any Ideas? no errors get generated in the windows event log during this process.

Best,

Greg

HI,

Instead of selecting the mapped drive, try accessing the NAS server from Backup Exec itself and create a Backup to Disk folder directly on the NAS server.

When trying to set up a Backup to Disk folder on a Network Attached Storage device, the error message: "The system can not find the path specified" is returned.
