Hi,
I am having issues since upgrading the SP on our Exchange servers
The Dag was backin up with very few issues for a good few months (only got Backup Exec)
Running BackupExec 15
Backup Exec Server: Version 14.2 Rev 1180 64-bit
Admin Console: Version 14.2 Rev 1180.1162 64-bit
keeps getting the following errors:
Job ended: 01 February 2016 at 23:33:36 Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe0008516 - The database specified for the snapshot was not backed up because the database was not mounted. Final error category: System Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-34070 |
Backup- VEX01.wright-bus.com
V-79-57344-34070 - Snapshot Technology: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Information Store". Sn...
Check the Windows Event Viewer for details
.
I have checked on the forum and tried restarting both servers in the DAG to get the VSS running.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Cheers
Alan

What is the version of Exchange and it's SP, and have you made sure it is supported on the BE 2014 SCL?

Thanks!

...have you tried to restart the Exchange server perhaps? Is the Information Store mounted when the backup starts?
Thanks!

Do ensure AOFO is not enabled for the Exchange backup job.
Are all VSS writers (specifically the Exchange writer) in a stable state when you run "vssadmin list writers" command on the Exchange server ?
Is the Agent for Applications & Database license installed ?
Check for relevant events logged on the Exchange server during the time of backup as well.
