Again, I am specifically referring to the msdb database. The database repair done by 265180 does not address this particular database.

Hello,

Have you also installed SQL on the Backup Exec server?
Since when does the error occur?
Follow the steps given below:

1. Install MDAC 2.8 on the server from the following link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en

2. Install SP 2 for backup exec 9.1 in case it is not already installed. Here is the link for the download:

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 - Service Pack 2
http://support.veritas.com/docs/275247

If the issue persists, revert with details.

No, only MSDE installed by BackupExec. The issue began several weeks ago. MDAC 2.8 has now been installed but the issue is unchanged. SP2 for BackupExec 9.1 was installed last week, but the issue is unchanged.
