DLO backup to tape

Is it possible to run a DLO backup to tape? and is it possible to install a Remote Agent for Windows Server to XP computers?

Yes, you can backup DLO's Network folder using Backup Exec. You can also install remote agent on XP machines, and the good thing is it does not need to be licensed. Both options are supported. But, DLO software cannot backup to tape, it is a disk based solution. So, once DLO has backed up, you can further submit job in Backup Exec.

Below is the list of supported XP where you can install Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Server.

Windows XP Home Edition x86-32bit

Windows XP Home Edition SP3 x86-32bit

Windows XP Professional SP1 x86-32bit

Windows XP Professional SP1a x86-32bit

Windows XP Professional SP2 x86-32bit

Windows XP Professional SP3 x86-32bit

Windows XP Professional (x64) SP2 x86-64bit

Note:
DLO is another console aside from Backup Exec console, no direct backup to tape as above mentioned it is a disk based backup.
