Dedup folder disappeared

Hi,

Backup Exec 2012 R2 fully updated
1 CASO
2 MMS
The CASO server has a Dedup folder and is situated at our disaster recovery site (not the main DC).
Backups are made through the MMS servers situated at DC and replicated to the CASO's dedup folder.

Last Friday i suddenly lost the dedup folder on the CASO. Fiberchannel link went down. Luckily there were no backups running, but i do have a feeling that something is wrong.

The eventvwr still shows a lot of delayed write actions to dedup folder.

Is there a way to check for consistency?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi,

Have you verified that the dedupe folder actually exists on the affected server itself? Have you tried to add it back into BE again?

Thanks!

So it's working now Martin?

Thanks!

Yes the dedup folder is visible and the most of the backups work fine.

Some backup jobs seem to fail:
Job ended: Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 1:00:43 AM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe00084af - The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.
Final error category: Job Errors

So i'm afraid that something is not working correctly and thats why i asked if i could check for consistency or something like that

Thanks for your reply!

Just ensure the oldest tlogs from under the \storage\queue folder is gone everyday you check this folder. This means that the queue is processing daily and the background task in Dedupe are working ok and not affected.
