Dedup volume corrupt

Hi,

Setup:
All BE 2012 SP2 servers.
One in DC (B2D and then to dedup)
one in BE server (CASO) in remote location. <-- this is the faulty dedup volume

I had a 40TB (RAID 5+0) dedup volume of which a quite number of disks went in failure mode.
I had to recreate this volume so all the data is gone.

I have deleted the dedup storage from the backup exec console and mapped the new volume to the CASO server.
Created a new dedup disk and backups from DC to remote location works fine now.

Is there a simple way to duplicate backup sets from DC to remote location?

Did i missed some steps?

Thanks for your reply!

I do have the enterprise server option licensed and installed on the caso and MMS.
The whitepaper you're referring to is for BE2010. I use BE 2012.

From your links I understand that for a backup, i should add a second stage to duplicate the backup to the remote office. This is already setup this way.

I would like to know how i can (cleverly) duplicate existing backup sets the the new dedup disk at the remote office. Or do i just select them all and right click "duplicate"?

This is the only way of duplicating existing backup sets.

You may want to carry out seeding before you duplicate new data across the WAN. Please see: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH163110
