Hello
Using Backup Exec 2010 R3.
I had the Raid array which hosted the Dedupe folder crash. It's not restorable....so I wiped and recreated the array. I am now trying to create a new dedupe folder.
I can't delete the old folder, because it does not show up on in Backup Exec. When I try to create the new dedupe folder, I get the message "There can only be one deduplication storage folder per media server and this media server already has a deduplication storage folder"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the deduplication option, with no success. How can I "manually" delete the dedupe folder so that I can recreate it?
Thanks
Sam

I reviewed your screen capture.
Please delete all your remote agents for deduplication (devices tab)
There should be a dedupe folder listed as undiscovered.
Delete that and recreate your folder.

After you uninstall the dedup option from BE, did you physically remove the old dedup folder from your harddisk? If not, you should do so before re-installing the dedup option.

Before I uninstalled the dedupe option, the folder was gone and the array formatted - so after I uninstalled the dedupe option, there was no folder to delete.

That worked great.
