Directory or file was not found

I have a backup to tape running monthly and it keeps failing with the following errors:

Job Log: BEX_NLGSWBAK01_05798.xml

Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe00084af - The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.
Final error category: Job Errors

All the errors are of these types below (I have checked the file/folder selection in the backup definition and the folders exist on the target server):

Directory Robocopy\Business Data\Office General\Photos\150412\KP\@eaDir\ was not found, or could not...
None of the files or subdirectories contained within will be backed up.

Could be a permissions issue

OR

something to do with the files/folders that means VSS cannot take a snapshot of those areas (so looking in event logs for VSS issues might show something)

OR

something to do with mount/junction points in the file system

You could create a backup jobn that ONLY contains one of the files that errors to see if it gives a more specific or different errors (either in job log or event logs) when it is not mixed up with other data
