Does Backup Exec 2012 can do bare-metal recovery for Linux?

I am trying and considering to purchase Backup Exec 2012. I could like to know does Linux OS can do bare-metal recovery by Backup Exec 2012? Please help.

Hi Kenneth,

 

As far as I know it doesn't. You need to look at Symantec System Recovery Linux Edition to cater for this.

Yes, SSR can do this but be aware that you cannot restore to different hardware (aka 'Restore Anyware'). This feature is currently not supported.
