Does the SAP agent entitle you to the oracle agent?

Hi, I'm sure I heard somewhere that having the backupexec SAP agents entitled you to the Oracle agents if you wanted to use these instead. Is this true?

I need to rebuild our backup server. When our SAP system was setup I remember it being very difficult to setup the SAP agent. A SAP basis guy worked on it for days before it would work. The documentation for installing the sap agent at the time was shockingly poor from what I was told. I thought it might be easier if I just installed oracle agents instead of using the sap agent. If in backupexec I go to HELP > ABOUT > LICENCE INFO It says we're licenced for agent for oracle on windows or linux server although I can find no evidence we've ever purchased oracle agents.

Thanks for any help

Have a look on the following document 300107 Backup Exec Agent for SAP supports online/offline backup of SAP with MaxDB or Oracle as the underlying database (backend). It provides protection for local and remote protection of the latest versions of SAP™ databases using the SAP (BC-BRI BACKINT) interface while enabling you to efficiently manage your data.
