Drive configuration settings revert to default

We recently implemented a new server and upgraded to Veritas version 10. The default drive settings in Veritas have the block size set to 1k resulting in 26 hour backups. For the backup to run overnight, I have to change the block size and buffer size to 64k. The problem is, everytime the server reboots, the settings revert to the default. Does anyone know how I can change these settings permanently so that a reboot will not affect them?

Please note that we recommend to change teh block size and buffer size according to the hardware requirements.

Are you getting any errors after rebooting the server?
