Duplicate emails, contacts, etc when restore using emails using GRT

I am trying to perform restore of individual emails or folders or contacts, etc. I have no problem restoring except that everything gets doubled. So if the email exists, it will not be overwritten - instead it will be duplicated.
I did try to use the option "When restoring individual messages..... " but it did not have any effect.
Anyone had any issues with this?

Which version of BE and exchange you are running. This was seen in some cases and redirecting to a different mailbox was a workarond
