Duplicate jobs much smaller that the original

I run B2D, than i duplicate the job to tape. The duplicate job is always much smaller than the original job. Last night the backup job was 39.8 GB, yet the duplicate job was 2.57 GB. I have compression turned off on the duplicate job.

Anyone have any ideas what gives?

A duplicate job should show the approximate size of the backup data in its compressed state.

To Test:
Run the B2D job to a dedicated B2D device (the idea is to have no other backup sets from other backup jobs in the B2D device) and then duplicate it to tape. Compare the size of the B2D device folder (the physical size of the folder as seen via Windows Explorer) to the amount of data specified in the duplicate job. They should be pretty close.
