Duplicate option "Most recent full backup" duplicates Failed Full Backup

Dear all,

I observed the following behaviour with BE2012SP3.

Full Backup of Server ABC is scheduled to run every MON to FRI 08:00 PM (to DedupStore, Notification is enabled)

Duplicate of Server ABC is scheduled for every SAT 08:00 PM (from DedupStore to Tape, Most recent full backup, Notification is enabled)

Full Backup on MON to THU is Successful, but Failed on FRI.

On SAT the Duplicate job copied the FAILED Full Backup of FRI to Tape with status Successful!

I thought that Duplicate option "Most recent full backup" copies the last Successful most recent full backup to tape!?

Any idea, how to ensure that only "Successful" or "Success with Exceptions" Full Backups are duplicated?

Werner there is no option to do what you are wanting to do. By default BE will duplicate the most recent Full backup no matter if it was successful or failed. Having said this, the data that was backed up on this full backup till the point it failed would be duplicated and can be restored.

This should be a feature change request...more granularity needs to be implemented with the "Duplicate"option - like being able to restore from a specific media server where any duplicate exists (rather than having to manually inventory something).
