I have been trying to get a backup running for a machine on a remote subnet. Each time, the job appears to start successfully and then fails. The BE9.1 job log refers to "final error code a00084f9 - A communication failure has occurred between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent". I have enabled debugging on the media server and remote agent. The debug log refers to "8cc 1/14/2005 17:59:14: ERROR: ndmpdDataConnect: connect error: 10060" as the cause of the connect error. The Veritas support site has very little information on this error, with document #266910 appearing to be the only relevant article. As per 266910, I have confirmed proper network config on the media server. However, the error condition persists. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.
