hi all

i need to take the backup for ESXi 4.0.1 but the job fails with this error:

V-79-57344-38260:unable to create a snapshote of the virtual machine the virtual machine may too busy to quiesce to take the snapshote .

and i have the license for the vmware infrastructure  but i dont have A vSphere Standard license

can i do the job for ESXi 4.1.0 or not

What OS is the VM running on ?

Do you have the BE agent & BE VSS provider installed in the VM ?

Not sure what you mean with you have licenses for the vware infrastructure, but do not have a vSphere standard license. Is your ESXi host licensed or not ? Only a licensed version of ESX(i) will work with the AVVI agent.

i install BE Agent in all VM Guest and i can see the ESXI host and guest

in the selection list but when the backup job start i get the error

 A standard vSphere licence is required which you don't have.  See the 1st and 5th notes on page 8 of the SCL below

BE 2010|2010 R2|2010 R3 Software (SCL)

Are you licenced for the vStorage API?  BE 2010 needs this to work.
