Email notifications in Backup Exec

Hi,

Please note that I need an answer for the following questions:

Is it possible to send email notifications with the statuses of the jobs to users or emails ourside the smtp server/

uf yes, what are the requirements?

Do i need to have smtp relay?

You need to have something that can relay your mail.

If you don't have an own mailserver, you probably can use the one of your provider.

...I don't think that all external email servers support this, so read the note on the TN below as this relates to Google mail for instance:
