Hello, a few days ago email notifications quit going through when the backup jobs complete. I can't even send test notifications to recipients. It says they are queued for delivery, but they never get delivered.
I will add that I can send test emails through a telnet client on port 25 so I know that is not an issue.
Anyone have any ideas as I have no idea what to do or try now.
Thanks.

Verify that the Anonymous user permissions is still enabled in exchange... Take a look at the following document that details the configuration of SMTP notifications

Try this article as well ~ https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/troubleshooting-email-notifications-backup-exec

I am able to send a test email from another backup exec server just fine, so I would think all the settings on the Exchange server are fine.

This is what SGmon shows.

Here are a couple of articles that pertain to the issue.. It would appear that you may have already come across them but i wanted to shoot them over anyway just in case. Have you tried completely reconfiguring the email notification on the Media server"Verify that all information is correct"(SMTP mail server/SMTP port/Sender name/Sender email address/authentication). You said that you were able to send test emails from another media server without issue... is this using the same email address to send out the notification or is it using a different.

Yes this is using the exact same settings with nothing in the authentication area. Everything works properly from the other serverand this server I am now having issues with was working last week.

Here is an update. I guess all other recipients are receiving the email notifications except me. They return an error code of 0 while monitoring while my email address is an error code of 800e0008.
Any ideas as I do not really understand why this would happen.
I can sent myself an email from the same address through a telnet connection on the same port...

Fixed the issue I believe. Do not really understand the problem, but it works now. I deleted me as a recipient restarted Backup Exec services. Created a new recipient with a different name and same email address.
It now works.
