Error 0x80070057 on catalog job

Today I get this error every time I try to run a catalog job in prep for a restore. I had run an inventory on the selected autoloader slot successfully.

Error: 0x80070057 - one or more arguments are invalid

I've done all the steps suggested in article #281171 except that I'm not 100% certain my driver pack (282974) is the latest.

Server (Win2K3/S1) is running BE 10d. I installed SP2. I guess I should also reinstall the remote agent on servers this one is backing up. Can I do that without a reboot? Just stop the Remote Agent service on target servers, or will the push install do that?

Any suggestions on this error?

TIA

I did find an article stating that a reboot is not necessary for W2K servers.

I've installed latest drivers, tried everything in 281171, and still get this 0x80070057 error every time I try ti run a catalog job on the slot in the autoloader driver. I need help!

TIA

This might be a silly question: is it possible that the tape you are trying to catalog is a bad one? Have you tried to catalog a few other used tapes?

I've tried two different tapes, in two different slots.

I've got to find a fix for this problem. Until I do, I can't restore anything from an older tape without a current catalog.

Help, anyone?
