Error 1706: No valid source.. when applying hotfixes

Backup Exec 10.0 build 5520
Windows 2000 Server SP4

I receive Error 1706: No valid source could be found for product VERITAS Backup Exec for Windows Servers. The Windows Installer cannot continue.

This happens when I try to apply a hotfix or servicepack, when I attempt to run the installation from the "Serial Numbers and Installation" option or try to do a reinstall from Add/Remove Programs.

I checked the registry key mentioned is this article: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/262157.htm The Source Path 10.0 key was empty so I added the full path to the installation files (...5520 install\WINNT\install\be).

Unfortunately this does not solve my problem. Any ideas?

Are you trying to install those patches using terminal services ??

If so then please try to install it locally.
