I'm receiving the following error: a000848c HEX - Unable to attach to one of the drives. This error is occurring when trying to backup the mailboxes on an Windows 2000 Server ruinning Exchange 2000.
Additionally, the exchange mailboxes and public folders do not appear in the selection list any longer. The only options outside of standard files and folders is for System State and the Information Store.
I have read just about every knowledge base article regarding the a000848c HEX error and applied any fix that seemed appropriate with no change.
The account being used to backup the mailboxes had delegated Full Exchange Admin rights through System Manager.
The password for the account has been reentered in Backup Exec and is correct.
I've renamed mapistub.dll per document: 262135 and
I've verified that all necessary Exchange services are running.
Any suggestions and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
