Error code 0xa000e380 when backing up Lotus Domino Databases

Hi, I am getting this fault when backing up Domino databases.  I have seen other posts about this problem that point to the fault being the server is partitioned!  Can someone explain this to me as I have never known a server not to be partitioned.
