Error e00084f8 and BE2010 and W2k8R2 servers

Hi,
I ´m having problem backup up the System State on an AD controller running 2008R2.
When the backup starts it does the snapshot processing and then starts running the backup. After about 15 seconds it has backed between 6-25 MBs and after that nothing more happens. And after about 2h and 20 minutes the backup aborts with the error e00084f8.

It´s the same with full and Inc backups. The backup server is also a 2008R2 and is running several other backups on other servers without problems.
I have updated the BE with the latest hotfixes to date and pushed the new agent to the server.

According to the error it seems that the BE server looses connection with the remote agent. But I can´t figure out why.
The agent is running and I can see it in the selection lists and browse it´s contents fine. There is nothing else running on port 10000 and general network connectivity the the remote server works fine.
There is nothing of interest in the event viewer on any of the servers.

So what can be the problem? And how can I fix that?
I dont´know what else to test or try.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Thanks
//Andreas..

Check the job log on what resource it is trying to backup when it fails ...
Exclude Backup exec from aniti virus scan .
Let me know resourses are you backing up

The only thing I´m backing up on that server is the System State, nothing else.
And none of those servers have antivirus installed.

Interesting..
I haven´t tried disabling IPv6 and I´m pretty sure it´s enabled.

When I have have tested this I´ll let you know. It might take a while since the customer have holidays at the moment.

I´ll also go through the document you linked.

Thanks in advance!

I disabled IPv6 on the servers and now it works!!
Thank you very much!
It would be interesting to know why it disturbed the backup process though..
