Error installing BE 2010 x64

Hi all

I am trying to install the 2010 media server on my new backup server which is running Windows 2003 Standard x64. When I try to run browser.exe I am getting the browserops.dll error as specified here:

http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/345791.htm

Unfortunately, browsing to the correct folder and running setup.exe doesn't work either because I am getting the errors in the attached screenshots:

I have tried the 32 bit version on another machine and it seems to come up ok.

The file being referenced appears to be corrupted because I can't copy it anywhere either.

I cannot see the screenshots as they are too small.
But can you try do download the Backup Exec installation DVD again?
Also I would suggest downloading 2010R2 as you can use you licenses of BE2010 in the newer version as well.

Sorry, the forum software was supposed to link to the full size pics but didn't for some reason.

See here:

I will try downloading the newer version (although from memory I wasn't given the option before?)

When you download the installation DVD, you are given the option of downloading it as a single image or as four parts and then you have to join them together to get the DVD image.  Try to download the single image file.  Sometimes the 4 parts option results in corrupted files.

BE 2010 R2 was released only a couple of week ago.  If you are download it via the fileconnect site,  you would need to go the licencing site to upgrade your product licence.  With this new licence (a serial beginning with M, not to be confused with your product licence keys), when you next go to the fileconnect site, you would be able to see BE 2010 R2.
